We all look forward enthusiastically for this event every
year when parents come in big number to play with their
sons. This was the 5th Goodwill Cricket match conducted
on 11th February, 2012. This year also we had to form
two teams in order to accommodate all the parents. In
match-1, the parents team batted first and scored 68 runs
in 15 overs. Mr. Surendra Desai’s knock of 22 runs was
the highest. Team captain Mr. Vipul Desai returned to
the pavilion without opening his account. Parents’ team
tried their best but could not resist much the bowling
attack of the students. Whereas, the students team
easily met the target within the stipulated overs. Among
the students , Jashmer scored the highest of 34 runs and
Rohan with his rows of 6s and 4s wrapped up the inning
without being out The following were given the awards:
Best Bowler : Mr. Vipul Doshi
Best Batsman: Mr. Suirendra Desai
Best Fielder: Mr. Sudhir Mehta
Best Catch: Dave Kohli (Grade 12)
Man of the Match: Rohan Sawkar (Grade 12)
In match-2, the students’ team batted first and scored 99
runs in 12 overs. The parents’ team under the captainship
of Mr. Anup Jalota could manage to score only 72 and
lost the match. Among the students, Saurav Oberoi gave
the highest knock of 53 runs.

Best Fielder: Mr. Chetas Desai
Best Catch: Yash Master (Grade 10)
